Little Computer People [C64, Atari ST]
by Shaun Watters

The easiest way to describe Little Computer People is that
it's The Sims done fifteen years before EA Games ripped off
the idea and turned it into one of the most profitable PC
games ever... But a lot simpler and with crappy graphics...
Even back in the day!

There's no real object in the game. Once the game has loaded
you're presented a cut through view of a little house and a
little guy wandering around in the house. All you've got to
do is try and entertain the little guy... Or torment him if
you're one of those people who starves all their Sim's
characters just to watch them die!

You have no direct control over your Little Computer Person
but you can give him suggestions. If he's looking hungry
suggest he gets some grub. If he's looking bored tell him
to play you a tune on his piano, and so on.

The more I think about it it's more like one of those
Tamagotchi keyrings that were all the rage a few years ago.
Just a lot more fun!

For a game of this age the little touches it contains are
fabulous. Try and make him do too many things at once and
he'll get pissed off and start screaming and shouting at
you. Ignore him and he'll knock on your screen to wake you
up. He even sings in the shower. The list goes on! It's these
little touches that gives the little guy that human touch.

To be honest with you, these days it's not a game you're gonna
play for more than an hour. You'll get bored and forget about
it. Times have changed it seems but if you want to see where
the "person sim" started check it out.
